Cops hunt for suspect in series of indecent exposures

The series of indecent exposures occured between August 30 and September 29 and have mostly taken place within the Tower Hamlets area in east London.

The spate of attacks has prompted the Met Police to release CCTV images of a man they wish to talk to in connection with the incident. Sharing a grainy image of the man, Tower Hamlets Police Twitter account wrote: We are investigating a series of sexual abuse and indecent exposure offences in Tower Hamlets and need to trace the man in this picture The force reported that on four occasions the male suspect is alleged to have masturbated. The first incident reported to police on 24 August at 11.05 am at Tower Hamlets in Upper North Street on 30th August. The following day, three more incidents were reported to police between 10.20 and 11.45 pm. This was then followed by an incident on September 2 at approximately 6.45 a.m. in Navigation Road. On 12 September then police received another report of an attack at 1.30 on Albert Gardens near commercial road. The suspect was seen wearing a black zip hoody, an opaque grey pair of jeans with a thick black stripe from hip to knee. He also had a bike lock found around his neck and a chequered baseball cap.

Police said the suspect is also known to wear a mask while committing the offences. The bike which he has been described as black is described as silver and black. Following the attacks, police have increased patrols in the local area and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
