Coronavirus | Tokyo falls below 100 for the third day in a row

Tokyo Metropolitan Government reported 49 COVID cases in the Japanese capital on 11th Oct, the third day in a row under 100.

Tokyo recorded 60 cases on Oct. 10, the lowest count of this year in Tokyo.

In the first week of October, Tokyo saw average of 154.3 new infections every day. In September, capital recorded 31,842 total coronavirus cases on average of 1,061. 4 cases per day, declining from total infection of 125,606 daily - an average of 4,051. 8 cases are recorded in August - tallied each day.

By Oct. 10, 3,028 people died of COVID 19 in Tokyo since the pandemic began in spring 2020.

To date, Tokyo has recorded 376,825 infections, the most among Japan's 47 prefectures. As of October 10, 602 had been put on antibiotics in Tokyo, 67 with severe symptoms.
