The National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee is discussing three draft resolutions on the opening of EU accerssion negotiations with the Republic of North Macedonia related to the so-called French proposal. The three draft resolutions were submitted by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms MRF GERB-SDS and Democratic Bulgaria. North Macedonia s Premier Dimitar Kovacevski announced that the French EU CouncilEU Council Presidency's proposal was unacceptable for Skopje. The National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee heard about the departure of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodora Genchovska. Bulgaria has a strategic interest in North Macedonia's accession to the EU, but this should not be to the detriment of Bulgaria's national interest. So far it is clear that there is such a People Party and the Vazrazhdane Party will not support the drafts of the MRF, GERB and Democratic Bulgaria.
