Norway's crown rises after Central Bank raises interest rate

LONDON, Sep 23 Reuters - Norway's crown climbed to more than three-month highs versus the euro and bill yields raised on Thursday after the Central Bank raised its benchmark interest rate and said more hikes will follow in the coming months. Against the Euro, Norway's crown rallied to a mid June high of 10.075 crowns per euro while it climbed 0.6% against a broadly weaker dollar.

Short-dated bill yields surged in anticipation of more rate increases with Norway's one year period yield rising to a mid-March 2020 high of 0.534% after the rate decision.
