Russia's Lavrov calls on all parties to protect international laws in Vietnam

HANOI Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on all parties to make efforts to protect international laws as the world is changing in a complicated manner Lavrov was speaking with his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son in Hanoi.

Lavrov says that Russia is not going to initiate reconciliation with the West.

Vietnam is a key partner of Russia in the ASEAN. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations said at the meeting that the relationship between the two countries is based on history and their common fight for justice.

Vietnam and Russia have close ties dating back to the Soviet era.

Lavrov's visit to Hanoi comes as both nations mark the 10th anniversary of their comprehensive strategic partnership READ MORE: Moscow ready to consult Baku, Yerevan on border controls and lines.

The Russian foreign minister is due to visit Indonesia to attend a meeting of G 20 foreign ministers this week.
