Start-ups going to be the backbone of the new India: PM Modi

New Delhi - 15 January ANI Prime Minister Narendra Modi said startups are going to be the backbone of the new India and that January 16 will be celebrated as the National Startup Day.

The start-ups are going to be the backbone of the new India. When India completes 100 years of independence, startups will have an important role. The Prime Minister said during his visit with startups that country's innovators are making the country proud, and that's why he said. The Prime Minister also highlighted that India's startup ecosystem is constantly learning and improving itself. The PM added that it is in a constant state of learning and changing.

He said that I congratulate all the startups and youth who are engaged in raising the flag of India in the world of start-ups as it will reach the far-flung parts of the country.

India's startups are now working in 55 different industries, according to PM Modi. Five years ago, India didn't have even 500 startups! That number has crossed 60,000 today. The Prime Minister said that the development of a nation is based on the belief in the ability and creativity of youth.
