US Air Force bombers to perform low-flying flight over Bosnia

Two B - 1 B Lancer bombers of the United States Air Force will perform a low-flying flight over Sarajevo and other towns in Bosnia and Herzegovina on May 30, as a sign of the strong collaboration between the United States and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina OSBiH and their continued commitment to sovereignty. BiH's territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character are reflected in its cultural diversity.

This marks the enduring bond between the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina, said General James Hecker, a member of the US Air Force and commander of air bases in Europe, air forces in Africa and NATO's Joint Air Command.

The pilot's flight shows our commitment to building solid bilateral relationships and is proof of our shared values and goals. We are building a path to a future of peace, security and prosperity in the region through cooperation and understanding, he said.

The bombers will fly over Sarajevo, but those two B - 1 B bombers will be seen all over the country. The aircraft will also contribute to a joint military event near Tuzla, which will include the engagement of the joint Tactical Air Control of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Special Forces of the US Army.

The B - 1 b bombers are stationed at RAF Fairford, United Kingdom, as part of the latest cycle of the Bomber Task Force. To maintain worldwide stability and security, airmen must continue emergency operations throughout the world, while allowing units to familiarize themselves with operations in different regions.

The B - 1 B, a heavy bomber, is capable of carrying the largest conventional payload of guided and unguided missiles of any aircraft in the Air Force. The B - 1 B is the backbone of America's long-range forces. It is capable of using large-scale and non-precision weapons against any opponent, anywhere in the world, at any time.

The Ministry of Defence of BiH recommends that overflight can be cancelled at any time, even without prior notification, due to weather conditions or requirements related to the military mission of the aircraft.
