The Japanese government is set to create an action plan to enhance and safeguard key industrial technologies crucial for the country's economic security. The plan, known as the 'action plan on developing strategic industry and technological infrastructure,' will be formed through collaboration between public and private sectors. It will focus on three main pillars: providing support measures for Japanese industries, implementing defensive measures to protect sensitive technologies, and establishing international frameworks for cooperation. The plan aims to boost Japanese industries, protect against technology leaks, and combat economic coercion through export and import restrictions. A panel of experts, consisting of officials from various ministries, industry representatives, and university professors, will lead the advisory discussions.
