Prime Minister Modi's Remarks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress party for its alleged history of bullying and pressuring others. Candidate Affidavits

The Election Commission's website revealed that 3,179 candidates had submitted their affidavits for the first two phases of the Lok Sabha polls. As of 11:30 am, 808 affidavits had been rejected, and six applications had been withdrawn.

Nomination Process

The nomination process for phase two of the Lok Sabha polls continued until April 4. The scrutiny of nominations was scheduled for April 5, and the last day to withdraw nominations was April 8. A total of 80 constituencies across 13 states and Union territories would go to polls in the second stage on April 26.
