ED's Demand for Kejriwal's Phone Raises Allegations of Political Weaponization

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been accused of using its authority as a political weapon by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP leader Atishi alleges that the ED's insistence on examining Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's mobile phone, which was acquired recently and did not exist during the implementation of the excise policy, is evidence of this.

Atishi claims that the BJP, not the ED, is interested in accessing Kejriwal's phone to obtain information about AAP's Lok Sabha election strategy, campaign plans, and discussions with leaders of the INDIA bloc. This bloc consists of opposition parties such as AAP, TMC, Congress, DMK, and SP, which have united to challenge the BJP in the parliamentary elections.

The ED has stated that Kejriwal's phone from the period in question is unavailable and is now requesting the password for his new phone. Atishi believes that the ED's true motive is to uncover details of AAP's election strategy, including plans, discussions with opposition leaders, and media and social media strategies.
