SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 Showcases Futuristic Innovations

Ahead of its official opening, the tech trade show SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 organized a preview event on April 9, providing a firsthand look at the future of technology, sustainability, and entertainment at Tokyo’s Chiyoda Ward. The media preview showcased various innovations like a compact tricycle, a versatile drone designed for water-sky movements, and environmentally conscious beef-free hamburgers as part of the show’s Showcase Program, designed to offer a vision of “urban life in 2050.”

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike expressed excitement about the event, inviting attendees to "Experience a sustainable and high-tech Tokyo" during the official run of the show from April 27 to May 26. SusHi Tech Tokyo, which expands to Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo, is an initiative by the Tokyo metropolitan government focusing on sustainable and innovative solutions for urban living. Creative director Asako Tsuji, the mastermind behind the Showcase Program, aims to inspire audiences to consider the future possibilities by curating an experience that spans multiple venues across the capital including the Ariake Arena and the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Through a diverse array of exhibits and demonstrations, Tsuji intends to showcase Tokyo's potential as a hub of creativity and technological advancement.
