Ravi Jaipuria, the founder of RJ Corp, has announced a succession plan for his $3 billion company. The plan outlines the future leadership roles for his children, Varun and Devyani.

Varun Jaipuria will oversee the food and beverages sector, which includes Varun Beverages, PepsiCo's second-largest bottler outside the US. Devyani Jaipuria will take on leadership in healthcare and education, encompassing Cocoon maternity hospitals, stem cell banking, and educational institutions like Delhi Public Schools.

Ravi Jaipuria will remain chairman of RJ Corp, providing overall guidance and supervision. He emphasizes the importance of both professional management and strategic leadership in driving the company forward.

This succession plan ensures continuity and stability for RJ Corp while also infusing fresh perspectives into the leadership. It also recognizes the contributions of both Varun and Devyani, who have been actively involved in the company's operations.

## Recent Performance of RJ Corp Subsidiaries

Devyani International, which manages various restaurant franchises, reported a consolidated profit of Rs 9.6 crore in the December quarter, down 87% from the previous year.

Varun Beverages, the beverage bottling company, reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 132 crore during the same period, a growth of 77%.

## Global Operations of RJ Corp Subsidiaries

Varun Beverages operates in nine countries with 45 manufacturing facilities, bottling and distributing PepsiCo beverages to 3.8 million outlets worldwide.

Devyani International operates various franchises in India, Nepal, Nigeria, and Thailand, including KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, Vaango, and Food Street. Additionally, it operates Cryoviva Biotech Pvt, offering umbilical cord stem cell services globally.

VBL acquired South Africa's Beverage Co (BevCo) and DIL entered Thailand by acquiring 274 KFC outlets.
