India and Ukraine Discuss Bilateral Relations and Humanitarian Assistance

Indian Ambassador to Ukraine, Harish Jain, met with newly appointed Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, on April 24th, 2023. During the meeting, they discussed India-Ukraine bilateral relations and India's ongoing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The Indian Embassy in Ukraine shared details of the meeting on their social media platform, stating that Ambassador Jain congratulated Sybiha on his appointment and they discussed various issues of mutual interest, including India's humanitarian support for Ukraine.

This meeting follows a visit by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to New Delhi in March 2023, where he met with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Deputy National Security Adviser Vikram Misri. The discussions during Kuleba's visit focused on regional and global matters, including the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution.

Both countries also agreed to work towards holding the seventh Inter-Governmental Commission meeting later in 2023. This meeting will focus on trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial, and cultural cooperation between India and Ukraine.
