Tragic Mid-Air Collision Claims Ten Lives During Royal Malaysian Navy Parade Rehearsal

A tragic accident occurred in Malaysia on Tuesday, claiming the lives of ten individuals. Two helicopters collided mid-air during a rehearsal for a Royal Malaysian Navy parade, resulting in the deaths of all crew members on board.

The incident took place at the Lumut naval base in Perak at approximately 9:32 a.m. A video circulating on local media captured the moment when one helicopter's rotors clipped the other, causing both aircraft to crash into the ground.

The navy confirmed the authenticity of the video and announced an investigation into the cause of the accident. Defence Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin identified the aircraft involved as a maritime operations helicopter and a Fennec military chopper.
