Rahul Gandhi Demands Caste Census, Accuses Modi of Neglecting 90% of Population

Rahul Gandhi's Attack on Modi and His Call for Caste Census

In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded a caste census, calling it an "X-ray" to expose the injustice faced by 90% of the population. He asserted that those who call themselves "deshbhakt" (patriots) are afraid of this truth and are trying to stop it.

Addressing the 'Samajik Nyay Sammelan' (Social Justice Conference), Gandhi declared that his life's mission is to ensure justice for the marginalized communities. He stated that the Congress manifesto promises a caste census as the first step towards achieving this goal.

Gandhi criticized Modi for transferring Rs 16 lakh crore to select business people while neglecting the needs of the majority. He contrasted this with the Congress's plan to provide financial assistance to the 90% of the population who have been denied their rightful share.

He further highlighted the lack of representation of Dalits, tribals, and OBCs in media and judiciary, pointing out that their voices are silenced and their concerns ignored. He emphasized that the caste census will reveal the extent of this injustice and pave the way for corrective measures.

Gandhi dismissed the claims that the caste census will divide the country, stating that it is essential for understanding the participation of different communities in the economy and institutions. He asserted that true patriots would welcome this transparency and strive for justice for all.

He challenged Modi's claim of being an OBC, pointing out that the Prime Minister avoids mentioning his caste when talking about poverty. Gandhi argued that the list of the poor in India would overwhelmingly consist of Dalits, adivasis, and backward communities.

Concluding his speech, Gandhi reiterated his commitment to social justice and declared that no force can stop the caste census. He believes that this initiative will empower the marginalized communities and ensure their rightful place in the nation's progress.
