BJP Government to Implement Uniform Civil Code, Says Home Minister Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at a rally in Madhya Pradesh, made a strong assertion that the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership is committed to introducing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) across the country. He accused the Congress of favoring personal laws and emphasized that the BJP stands against such practices, ensuring the implementation of the UCC as a core policy.

Taking a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Shah highlighted the government's track record in addressing issues such as Naxalism and terrorism. He specifically mentioned the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir in 2019 as a bold move by the Modi government, asserting that it demonstrated their decisive approach towards national security matters. Shah further dismissed Rahul Gandhi's apprehensions about potential violence, asserting that the current government is resolute and effective in its actions, in contrast to what he portrayed as the perceived weakness of the Congress administration.

Shah's speech at the rally underscored the BJP's stance on national security and the promotion of a unified legal framework through the UCC. Emphasizing the government's efforts in combating terrorism and Naxalism, Shah positioned the BJP as a party that prioritizes decisive action and the implementation of comprehensive reforms, echoing the promises made by Prime Minister Modi regarding the enforcement of the Uniform Civil Code nationwide.
