Sunita Kejriwal Holds Roadshow in Delhi, Calls Arvind Kejriwal a "Sher"

Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, held a roadshow in Delhi on Saturday, April 27th. During the roadshow, she addressed the crowd and defended her husband, who was recently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering probe.

Sunita Kejriwal asserted that Arvind Kejriwal is a "sher" (lion) and nobody can break him. She criticized the ED's actions, stating that her husband was jailed for building schools, providing free electricity, and opening Mohalla Clinics. She also highlighted that he has been denied insulin in jail despite being diabetic for 22 years and on insulin for 12 years.

Sunita Kejriwal's roadshow was held in the Kondli area of the East Delhi constituency. She stood through the sunroof of a vehicle and greeted voters with folded hands in support of AAP's East Delhi candidate Kuldeep Kumar.

Meanwhile, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi stated that the BJP put Arvind Kejriwal in jail thinking they could stop him from campaigning. However, she emphasized that lakhs of Arvind Kejriwals have hit the streets for campaigning, demonstrating the love and support of the people of Delhi.

Gopal Rai, another Delhi Minister and AAP leader, added that the people of Delhi are angry with the arrest of CM Arvind Kejriwal. He announced the start of the campaigning for the 3rd phase of the elections through Sunita Kejriwal's roadshow and emphasized that the BJP is scared of AAP's campaigning.

The ED, in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, opposed Arvind Kejriwal's plea against his arrest. They stated that he did not cooperate with the agency despite multiple summons and that they have recovered key evidence directly revealing his role in the alleged crime.

Arvind Kejriwal had challenged his arrest and remand in the excise policy case in both the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court. The High Court dismissed his plea, while the Supreme Court is yet to deliver its verdict.
