Bajaj Auto, India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, witnessed a significant 17% growth in sales in April 2024, reaching 3,88,256 units compared to 3,31,278 units in the same month last year. This growth was driven by both domestic and export markets.

Domestic sales increased by 17% to 2,49,083 units, while exports rose by 18% to 1,39,173 units. The company's two-wheeler segment saw a 19% growth, selling 3,41,789 units, while commercial vehicle sales grew by 7% to 46,467 units.

Strong Performance in FY24

Bajaj Auto's strong performance continued throughout FY24. The company sold a total of 27.14 lakh vehicles in the domestic market, a 29% increase compared to the previous year. However, exports dipped by 10% to 16.36 lakh units.

Overall, Bajaj Auto sold 43.5 lakh units in FY24, with two-wheelers accounting for 37.27 lakh units, an 8% increase year-on-year.

A Strong Finish

Bajaj Auto concluded FY24 with a strong performance in March 2024. Total overseas sales reached 1.45 lakh units, a 39% increase compared to the same month last year. Two-wheeler exports grew by 38% to 1.30 lakh units, while commercial vehicle exports increased by 42% to 14,630 units.

Profit and Revenue Growth

Bajaj Auto's financial performance also reflected its strong sales growth. The company reported a 35% year-on-year increase in net profit for the March quarter, reaching Rs 1,936 crore. Revenue from operations grew by 29% to Rs 11,485 crore.

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 34% to Rs 2,307 crore. The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of Rs 80 per share, totaling Rs 2,233 crore.
