Bulgaria to hold elections on October 2

The preparation for the October 2 elections was carried out by the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as diplomatic and consular missions. The caretaker Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov was speaking at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs MFA on Monday. Milkov said that the resources of the consular representations exceed the capacity of the consular representations and that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs relies on the Bulgarian communities abroad.

Bulgarians abroad will vote in 755 polling stations in 62 countries. It will be possible to vote in 300 polling stations - in 238 polling stations there will be 2 machines, in 62 stations - 1 machine. Minister Milkov said that 538 machines were transported, 22 more than last year.

During the past week, there were trainings for members of the election committees of persons seconded by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. In each polling station there must be 1 representative of the state who is familiar with the electoral process and code, and should monitor compliance with the regulations.

Minister Milkov said that the addresses of the polling stations abroad are also published on the ministry's website.
