High demand for gas is driving up the costs of energy in Europe. The price of gas rose by 12.6 percent on September 1 in France, the price of gas was 16.2 percent high. In a bid to fight price hikes, the French government is planning to make one-off payments to the citizens.

We're going to shield ourselves against those tariff hikes In October 13, the European Commission also presented a package of measures ready for EU countries. November's electricity supply now in the lap of gods blame green madness COMMENT Thousands at risk as anOTHER energy firm goes under LATEST It comes after Brexit was blamed for the UK s energy crisis as the Bank of England warns energy bills will lead to inflation topping 4 percent this winter. Neale Richmond, Teachta D la Member of Parliament for Dublin Rathdown, said in September: If you ask the British Government the reason behind this chaos, they say it is purely down to the Covid -19 pandemic. However, this is simply not the whole truth. The fault lies with hard Brexit that the British Government did so clearly want to see implemented. With no other EU Member State facing these issues and turning to the EU to solve these problems, the UK Government are misleading the very people they seek to represent. I knew that a Brexit would be a good Brexit but reality is very grave.
