GAIL posts 40 pc hike in standalone net profit at Rs 2,683 crore

State-owned GAIL India Ltd posted a 40.6 per cent increase in its standalone net profit on Friday at Rs 2,683. The margins on natural gas sales went up by 11 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31st, 2022. The company had a net profit of 1,907. 67 crore were for the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations jumped 73.4 per cent year-on-year to Rs 26,968. The quarter under review was 21 crore against 15,549. In the same quarter last fiscal, there was 07 crore.

The final dividend is recommended by the board of GAIL, at Rs 10 per equity share, subject to the approval of shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

It was 97 crore, against 4,890. The previous year, 18 crore were spent.

Pre-tax earnings from natural gas marketing jumped to Rs 1,725. In the fourth quarter of 2021, 93 crore were up from Rs 280.89 crore a year ago.

The shares of GAIL traded 3.31 per cent lower at Rs 146 apiece on the BSE on Friday.
