Philippines reports 379 new COVID-19 cases

According to statistics released by the country's Ministry of Health, 295 cases were detected through PCR polymerase chain reaction tests and 3,136 through ART antigen rapid test tests.

269 of the PCR cases were local transmissions and 26 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 2,950 local transmissions and 186 imported cases.

The death toll was unchanged on Thursday, as there was no death from COVID - 19, making the total death toll unchanged at 1,617, the ministry said.

Myanmar has confirmed 379 new cases of COVID - 19, bringing the tally to 622,802, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday.

The death toll from COVID 19 in the country reached 19,458 on Thursday after one new death was reported, the ministry said.

The Philippines reported 2,536 new COVID 19 infections on Thursday, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 3,945, 566.

The number of active cases rose to 28,172, while 34 more patients died from COVID- 19 complications, pushing the death toll to 62,916, the Department of Health said.

Vietnam had 978 new COVID 19 cases on Thursday, down from 609 from Wednesday, according to the ministry of health.

All the new cases were locally transmitted, said the ministry.

The total COVID 19 was brought to 11,477, 886 by the newly reported infections. The country reported a new death from the pandemic in the northern Hai Duong province on Thursday, bringing the total deaths to 43,148.
