The grand prize winner was a player from Arizona who managed to match all five numbers plus the gold Mega Ball and won the Mega Millions jackpot worth $108 million. However, that wasn t the only millionaire who resulted from the night.
A player from Georgia won the match 5 and hit $1 million. However, the player would have won $3 million if they matched five numbers with the 3 X Megaplier.
There were 13 players who matched four numbers, winning $10,000 each. Meanwhile, only four players were able to hit the Match 4 with the 3 X Megaplier and won $30,000.
The other Mega Millions wins from the night ranged between $2 and $1,500.
Lottery winners can receive their grand prize winnings through a one-time lump sum payment or annuity. Players who select the annuity will receive one annual payment followed by 29 immediate payments, which increase by 5% each year.
Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
