Singapore Airlines to work with cabin crew to safeguard staff welfare

Singapore Airlines SIA and its subsidiary Scoot will work with cabin crew to safeguard staff welfare during flights when their mask-wearing requirement lifts on Thursday Jun 1, the airline said in response to CNA's questions on Monday.

Scoot said the decision was both in tandem with the government's move towards the endemic new norm SIA and Scoot added that the health and safety of its customers and staff was their top priority and that their crew will continue to adhere to the robust health and safety measures implemented on board.

The airline also said it will seek to better understand the crew s concerns and work with them to see how we can help safeguard their welfare during flights.

CNA has asked the SIA Staff UnionSIA Staff Union for comment.
