Immediate Response 23 exercise for Light Infantry Battalion Group

As members of the Light Infantry Battalion Group BGLP were formed at the Mika Bosni barracks in Manjaca, the Immediate Response 23 exercise was made official, which represents the regular annual conditioning of the Light Infantry Battalion Group of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The review of 290 members of the Light Infantry Battalion Group was conducted by the commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Major General Radovan Ili, who stressed that it is one of the main training events, in accordance with the main training plan for 2023, which is the conditioning of the battalion combat group as part of the obligations, i.e. The concept of developing operational capabilities was developed through the program of the creation of operational capabilities.

He also emphasised the professionalism, readiness and ability of the members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Armed Forces, both through previous evaluations and engagement in international peacekeeping missions. He sincerely wished all members to achieve success in carrying out all assigned tasks.

The immediate response 23 exercise, which will last until June 2, is an assessment of the operating capabilities of the BGLP OS BiH and will be carried out through the national OCC E&F evaluation concept.

To make this possible, the joint staff of the Armed Forces of BiH, together with the Command for Training and Doctrine KOiD, realized the first domestic course OCC E&F evaluators, who will be certified by NATO at the end of the exercise and thus increase the pool of evaluators of the Armed Forces of BiH.

For the first time in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, offensive and defensive operations will be performed in a populated place, using equipment donated by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

It's also an opportunity to advance the implementation of the partner goal The fight of combined genders in urban terrain and for the unit, as well as other structures of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to assess the level of training in this important segment.
