Corporate bankruptcies in US could hit record

Guggenheim Investments, which owns Guggenheim Investments, said corporate bankruptcies in the US could reach the highest level since 2010 due to a sharp rise in borrowing costs and economic uncertainty.

Over 450 corporations have filed for bankruptcy protection this year, surpassing annual totals for the past two years.

Guggenheim economists said that a reacceleration of the US economy appears unlikely in the near future due to the lack of supporting factors.
