The United States announced on Friday that it will impose sanctions on three Chinese companies, alleging their involvement in providing Pakistan's ballistic missile program with relevant materials. According to the U.S., General Technology has supplied brazing materials for assembling rocket engine components and combustion chambers, Beijing Luo Luo has provided machinery used in the production of solid-propellant rocket motors, and Changzhou Utek Composite has been involved in supplying various materials with applications in missile systems since 2019. The statement emphasized the U.S.'s ongoing commitment to combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, their delivery mechanisms, and any associated procurement activities regardless of their location. The Chinese embassy in Washington and Changzhou Utek Composite did not provide an immediate response to requests for comment.
