He is also facing a criminal trial in New York for falsifying business records related to payments made to Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had an affair with Trump.
This is not the first time Cheney and Trump have clashed. In March, Trump called for Cheney's prosecution over her alleged suppression of evidence regarding the January 6th Capitol insurrection. Cheney responded by accusing Trump of fearing the truth.
