Cheney Slams Trump's Bible Sale, Accuses Him of Hypocrisy

Former Representative Liz Cheney has criticized Donald Trump's recent venture of selling Bibles, suggesting he should instead focus on reading the Bible's verse on adultery. Trump, in collaboration with Lee Greenwood, is selling "God Bless USA" Bibles for $60, featuring lyrics from Greenwood's patriotic song and various historical documents.

Cheney's criticism stems from Trump's alleged involvement in several infidelity scandals. In January, he was ordered to pay $83.3 million for defaming E. Jean Carroll, who accused him of sexual assault. He is also facing a criminal trial in New York for falsifying business records related to payments made to Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had an affair with Trump.

This is not the first time Cheney and Trump have clashed. In March, Trump called for Cheney's prosecution over her alleged suppression of evidence regarding the January 6th Capitol insurrection. Cheney responded by accusing Trump of fearing the truth.

Cheney has been a vocal critic of Trump and his influence on the Republican Party. In her book "Oath and Honor," she criticized her former colleagues for their continued support of Trump despite his election loss. Her criticism cost her in the 2022 Wyoming primaries, where she lost to a Trump-backed candidate.
