Mamata Banerjee Holds Roadshow in Siliguri, Urges Support for TMC Candidate Gopal Lama

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee recently led a roadshow in Siliguri to rally support for TMC's candidate Gopal Lama in the Darjeeling constituency. During the event, Banerjee engaged in dancing with local artists and even tried her hand at playing a drum, showcasing a lively and enthusiastic campaign atmosphere.

At the rally, Banerjee expressed concerns about the implications of the BJP coming into power, warning about the potential implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) that could threaten people's identities and rights. She made a fervent appeal to the voters, emphasizing the need to vote for TMC to safeguard the country and prevent such policies from being enforced.

Additionally, Banerjee urged the electorate to choose Gopal Lama, TMC's candidate, over any outsider. She highlighted Lama's dedicated work in Siliguri and assured the public that he would prioritize serving the local community's interests if elected. The upcoming election in the Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency on April 19 has heightened the campaigning efforts, with TMC challenging BJP's incumbent MP Raju Bista in a closely watched electoral battle.
