Gandhi Accuses Modi of Extortion, Pledges Support for Farmers, Women, and Youth

## Rahul Gandhi Attacks Modi on Electoral Bonds, Accuses Him of Helping Rich Businessmen

Rahul Gandhi, a senior Congress leader, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the electoral bonds issue. He described it as a "form of extortion" and alleged "intimidatory tactics" against targeted businessmen.

Gandhi compared Modi's actions to common thieves who extort money on the streets. He claimed that Modi uses sophisticated tactics to threaten businessmen, using agencies like the ED, CBI, and Income Tax to pressure them into giving their businesses to Adani.

Gandhi also accused Modi of helping a few rich businessmen in the country, claiming that he has given around Rs 16 lakh crore to 20-25 people. He contrasted this with the plight of farmers, unemployed individuals, and those facing price rises.

In response to these issues, Gandhi outlined several promises if the Congress comes to power. These include waiving farmers' loans, providing Rs one lakh per annum to one woman from every poor family, and creating a law guaranteeing one-year paid internships or apprenticeships for every graduate or diploma holder.

He also promised to double the wages of Asha workers and women working in Anganwadis, simplify the GST with a single tax bracket, and cancel the Agnipath scheme.

Gandhi further accused the BJP and RSS of trying to destroy and change the Constitution, calling it the biggest issue of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He contrasted this with the Congress manifesto, which he claimed is the voice of the people of India.

Gandhi concluded his speech by highlighting his commitment to Wayanad, where he is hoping to win again. He held a massive roadshow, accompanied by hundreds of party workers and supporters, and promised to address the concerns of the people.
