Rahul Gandhi Accuses Modi of Favoring Adani, Waiving Off Loans, and Spreading Falsehoods

Rahul Gandhi Raises Questions About Modi's Relationship with Adani

In a series of videos and statements, Rahul Gandhi has raised questions about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's relationship with industrialist Gautam Adani. The videos, titled "PM Modi is employed by Adani," feature clips of Gandhi questioning Modi's ties to Adani at various rallies across India.

Gandhi has accused Modi of favoring Adani and other industrialists, and of waiving off loans worth Rs 16 trillion for them. He has also alleged that the BJP is spreading falsehoods about him.

These accusations come in response to Modi's remarks during a rally in Telangana, where he questioned Gandhi's ties to businessmen and why he stopped criticizing them as soon as the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were announced.

Modi specifically questioned if Gandhi had received substantial sums of money from Ambani-Adani since he stopped attacking them suddenly. He also accused Gandhi of chanting "five businessmen, five businessmen" for five years before the elections and then stopping.

The Congress and Rahul Gandhi have often accused the Prime Minister of favoring Ambani and Adani. The ongoing Lok Sabha elections just concluded its Phase 3 of voting on Tuesday, with the next phase slated for May 13. The counting of votes will be held on June 4.
