Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Taps into 'Moye Moye' Trend at Ghaziabad Rally

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, in his recent address at a public rally in Ghaziabad, made use of the widely popular 'moye moye' trend to take a dig at the opposition INDIA bloc, suggesting that the people of India will strongly handle any challenges posed by the opposition. Singh emphasized the lack of unity within the opposition alliance, referring to it as a group of self-serving politicians coming together for convenience rather than a common goal, demonstrating his confidence in the NDA's prospects in the upcoming elections.

The 'moye moye' trend, derived from a Serbian song titled "Moye More," has gained traction on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, despite its original somber context. Even though the song itself carries serious themes, it has been humorously adopted by Indian social media users, who have created memes and reels incorporating the catchy tune into their content. Singh also took the opportunity to campaign for the BJP's Lok Sabha candidate in Ghaziabad, Atul Garg, after Union Minister Gen (retd) VK Singh stepped down from the electoral race, showcasing his support for the party and its chosen representative.

Furthermore, Singh highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's role in overseeing the safe repatriation of thousands of Indian students stranded in Ukraine amid the conflict. While commending Modi's efforts in negotiating the temporary ceasefire for the evacuation process, it's essential to note that the Ministry of External Affairs has contradicted claims made by the BJP regarding Russia's involvement in momentarily pausing the war for the evacuation of Indian citizens.
