Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Highlights Diplomatic Success and Achievements of Modi-led Government

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during his interaction with community leaders in Chennai, pointed out the difference in diplomatic approaches towards Sri Lanka between the Congress and BJP governments. Singh highlighted the government's efforts to establish a good relationship with Sri Lanka to address issues faced by Indian fishermen, particularly in regards to the Katchatheevu Island dispute which dates back to the Congress era.

Singh praised the progress India has made under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, citing the nation's growth in global rankings and economic development. He emphasized how India's stature on the international stage has improved over the past decade, with the country now being recognized as one of the fastest-growing economies globally. Additionally, he projected India's upward economic trajectory, aiming to enter the top three economies worldwide by 2027, a forecast supported by international financial institutions.

In his address, Singh also commended India's achievements in sectors like infrastructure and digital transformation, highlighting the significant increase in the number of airports and advancements in digital technologies. Furthermore, he lauded the success of India's space exploration program, particularly the accomplishment of landing the Chandrayaan-3 lander on the Moon's South Pole, emphasizing the dedication of Indian scientists and Prime Minister Modi's support in boosting morale during setbacks faced with Chandrayaan-2.
