Kellyanne Conway Registers as Lobbyist for Ukrainian Billionaire Victor Pinchuk

Kellyanne Conway, known for her role as a former advisor to President Donald Trump, has recently become a registered lobbyist for Ukrainian billionaire Victor Pinchuk. This registration was disclosed through a filing under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, where it was outlined that Conway will engage with U.S. lawmakers and experts to address Ukraine's interests and promote awareness about the ongoing conflict with Russia. Additionally, Conway is set to encourage U.S. lawmakers to participate in the Yalta European Strategy annual meeting in Kyiv on September 13-14, representing the U.K. office of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting various causes in Ukraine.

The filing also reveals that Pinchuk, the owner and controller of the foundation, has a significant influence on its activities, although it is independent of the Ukrainian government. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian government is considered the primary beneficiary of Conway's work on behalf of the foundation. Conway's agreement with the foundation stipulates a monthly fee of $50,000, with the contract running from July 25 to November 14. This move by Conway comes at a time when there is uncertainty among some Republicans regarding providing further aid to Ukraine, with her former boss Trump previously hinting at possible aid to Ukraine coming in the form of a loan and asserting his ability to swiftly end the conflict if he were still in office.
