BJP's JP Nadda carried out a roadshow in Paramakudi to back NDA candidate O Panneerselvam, who is standing as an independent in the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections on April 19. Nadda's criticism of the DMK, accusing them of involvement in the "sand scam" and labeling the party as representing "Dynasty, Money swindling and Kattapanchayat," showcased his strong stance against corruption in the state.

During the campaign, Nadda highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to fighting corruption and mentioned the post-election plan to take actions against corrupt individuals, indicating a vow to tackle unlawful activities in the region. Praising Panneerselvam as a seasoned leader who has advocated for Tamil Nadu, Nadda emphasized Modi's attention to the southern state, showcasing the PM's efforts in supporting Tamil culture and language internationally.

Nadda also boasted about the progress made under the NDA rule, claiming that 25 crore people have emerged from poverty and citing advancements across various sectors.
