Statements by Mallikarjun Kharge and Sanjay Singh on Prime Ministerial Face and Election Prospects

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the question of who will be the prime ministerial face of the INDIA bloc by highlighting the importance of winning the elections first. He pointed out the recent successes of the Congress in Assembly polls in Karnataka, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh as signs of positivity for the alliance. Kharge also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's behavior, accusing him of overconfidence and arrogance by already planning programs for the next five years and neglecting the opposition's role in democracy.

In a separate statement, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh expressed confidence in the INDIA bloc's prospects in Delhi, stating that they aim to secure all seven Lok Sabha seats. Singh attributed this anticipated success to voter awareness of pressing issues like inflation, unemployment, and corruption, which have reportedly caused stress among the populace. Addressing the AAP's seat-sharing deal with the Congress in Delhi, he indicated optimism about winning all seven seats and emphasized the need for a change in leadership in the upcoming General Elections.
